I.   Ruby opened the meeting with a welcome to all that attended.

II.  Everyone introduced themselves and told where they worked.

III.  Carlos said ther were no staffing changes due to student enrollment. He would check with Lora Gilbert and bring a report to the next meeting if there were going to be any changes.

IV.  Summer school results: Carlos explained about the 5 central kitchens used in OCPS
during Summer School. The schools were Piedmont Lakes Middle, Jones High, Oakridge High, Winter Park High, and Eagles Nest Elementary. Most of the employees who worked during the summer came from their same school. This was very successful.
Ruby asked if the Food Service provided snacks for the Extented Day Summer program.
Carlos said they did.

V.  Carlos will get a school lunch count and bring it to the next meeting in November. This will help the Food Service employees know if they are doing ok. They are worried about layoffs if the students leave OCPS.

VI.  Carlos said there was no cut in staffing as there didn’t appear to be a loss of servings. He said the pertsipation in lunch appears to be growing.

VII. There were no reports of any major problems starting the school year. Memorial
Middle has some problems due to being moved to the old Catalina Site so the new school could be built.

Next meeting will be In November 15 at 3:00 pm
