OESPA CBLT Summary
January 31, 2011

The OESPA and District collaborative bargaining teams met Monday January 31. The meeting focused primarily on compensation and benefits. The District gave a power point presentation on the state of the insurance trust. The initial indication is that the trust needs additional money in order to remain financially healthy. The projection is for a 19% increase in premiums. The District will cover the first 10% per the contract. The remaining 9% will be part of the bargaining discussions moving forward.

The District also presented a compensation package. The District offered a 1.8% increase. The OESPA team is in the process of analyzing the details of proposal. Once the OESPA team has fully analyzed all of the details of the proposal it will be communicated to the members.

The OESPA and District will meet again in February to continue dialogue.
