OESPA CBLT Summary
December 15, 2009
The OESPA CBLT met on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 to discuss the salary offer of 1.35% made by the District. The CBLT accepted the 1.35% with the stipulation that should additional moneys become available either from the State or any other source that salary negotiation would reopen. In making the decision now the OESPA CBLT wanted to move forward with getting raises to classified employees as soon as possible. The Team met again on Monday, December 14th to look at money placement on the salary scale. A final decision is expected to be made on Tuesday, January 5, 2010.
If a tentative agreement is reached on January 5th a ratification vote still must be held. This process takes approximately 6 weeks to accomplish. If employees accept the agreement made by the CBLT it is expected salary increases in paychecks will be in late March or April. Salary increases will be retroactive to an employee’s first duty day of the 2009-2010 school year.
Check back after the January meeting for further updates.
From the OESPA Officers and Board we wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season!
