OESPA CBLT Summary

The OESPA CBLT met for a one-half day bargaining session.  The only topic discussed was the Districts salary offer of 1.35% that was presented to the Team at the last meeting.  The Team began discussions on how the money could be placed on the salary scale.  Representatives from the District’s compensation office suggested also looking at the structure of the scale and the impact on new hires with or without experience and how that affects the scale in relation to current employees.  Concerns discussed included new employees that could “leap-frog” over current employees and how to best address that both now and in the future.  The Team has asked the District to cost-out various options of money placement to bring to our next meeting.  We hope at that time we can begin the process of finalizing this process.

The next bargaining session is for Tuesday, December 8th from 8:30 to 12:00.  Look for an update to follow.
